RULES: Modified IJF Contest Rules will be in effect. Shime-waza (chokes) are permitted for all competitors. Kansetsu-waza (armlocks) are not permitted in Novice Divisions. Blue JUDOGIS NOT REQUIRED, and Blue may only be worn when called as Blue. Blue and white belts will be available for use. We will be utilizing a single competition area. Competition area will be 8m x 8m with 5m safety; CARE system will not be used for this event.
Competitors that are 60 years and older cannot do chokes or have chokes applied to them.
ELIGIBILITY: Competitors ages 30 and older (birth year of 1993 or before) with USJF or USJA current affiliation are eligible to compete. Copy of current membership card must be submitted with registration and card must be presented at weigh-in.
NO EXCEPTIONS - Competitors may apply for membership on site.
TIME: SENIOR DIVISIONS --- Competition begins approx. 10:30 AM
(Coaches: Submit Team Weigh-in List by 7/31/24 at 8:00pm; weights will be confirmed at check-in and divisions will be adjusted if needed)
FEES: $30.00 for 1st Division; $10.00 for 2nd Division if submitted by JULY 30, 2024
$40.00 for 1st Division; $10.00 for 2nd Division if submitted after JULY 30, 2024
NO REFUNDS. No exceptions for late fees.
Register early to save $$ and to expedite shiai preparation.
FORMAT: Divisions of 2 to 5 competitors will be Round Robin, point system.
Divisions of 6 or more competitors will be Modified Double Elimination.
MATCH TIMES: ALL Regular Divisions: 3 minute matches
Newaza Matches: 2.5 minute matches
Golden Score: 2 minutes for all divisions
AWARDS: Medals - Gold, Silver & Bronze for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners

Coaches who have requested in advance, may send in weigh in list no later than 8:00pm Friday, August 2, 2024. Weights will be confirmed at check-in and divisions will be adjusted if needed

Divisions are subject to change to ensure safety for all participants. Coaches (and/or competitors) will have an opportunity to review the divisions and confirm the competitor’s suitability for participation. Every effort will be made to adhere to the posted age, weight and rank divisions; however, the tournament director reserves the right to delete, add or combine divisions as necessary but still maintain USJF requirements.
